What was your Center Stage journey?
My first year I wasn’t in company and I took one Jazz/Hip Hop class. Then I started company when I was 10 and was in Senior Cougars. Then I went to Jr Cat 1 and skipped Jr Cat 2 and went to Jr Cat 3. Then I went through all 4 years of CATS.
When you were growing up at Center Stage, who did you look up to?
Gabby Portugal
Why has it been worth all of the energy you’ve put in to it and the sacrifices you’ve made?
I got to find and explore a new hobby. I made new friends along the way too.
Do you do other outside of school activities?
I’m a part of the business program at my school and am in a few clubs in my school.
What’s your favorite movie and why?
2012 because it was a very dramatic and chaotic movie.
When they make a movie out of your life, who do you think should play you?
Sydney Morgan Block
What makes you angry?
When people spell my nickname as Vicky instead of Vickie.
What’s one thing that can make your day instantly better?
A happy surprise text out of nowhere.
What’s your favorite season and why?
Fall because the weather is not too cold and not too hot. Also the trees are really pretty during the fall season.
What lesson have you learned in life that you would like to impart to the world?
I have learned to just do my thing regardless of what other people have to say. I think that people need to learn that your life is what you make of it.
What’s your favorite family tradition?
My family used to always take a road trip down to Florida.
Who are your heroes?
My mom and my teachers.
What’s next?
I will be attending Boston University in the fall of 2020 and also plan to join the BU dance team.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Hopefully living in NYC and working in the business field.
Will you come back to visit Center Stage, or are you gone for good when you’re out the door?
I hope that in the future I have the time and the opportunity to come back and visit the studio.
