We will admit that we were all going a little stir-crazy without a live performance in almost a year, since competition last March. This was a long, hard slog for a school that is used to doing a couple dozen live performances a year.

With Broadway dark for the past 8 months, I’ve had time to reflect back on some of my favorite nights sitting in a theatre as the lights came down and the overture started up. The first Broadway show I saw was almost 45 years ago…
