When did you start at Center Stage?
I started Center Stage when I was three years old.
This is a substantial time commitment. Why has it been worth all of the energy you’ve put into it and the sacrifices you’ve made?
It has definitely been worth all the sacrifices that I’ve made. The experiences that I’ve had here at Center Stage have not only grown me as a dancer but also as a human being. I have developed a sense of team work and a work ethic that will follow me for years.
Do you do other outside of school activities?
I also play multiple instruments including the clarinet and piano.
What’s your favorite movie and why?
My favorite movie is the original Lion King. I just have so many fond memories of watching that movie with both my family and friends.
Favorite book?
My favorite book would be The Catcher in the Rye.
What are you irrationally afraid of?
I am definitely irrationally afraid of insects, especially wasps.
If you joined the circus, what would your circus act be?
I would fly through the air as a trapeze artist.
First celebrity crush?
Probably Dylan O’Brien
TV Show you are embarrassed to admit you used to watch?
Unfortunately, I used to watch the Kardashians.
If you were an animal, what animal would you be?
If I was an animal, I would be a porcupine, both adorable and “spiky”.
If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be?
I would have dinner with Cleopatra to ask her what really happened with Rome.
If you were crowned queen of the world tomorrow, what would be your first edict?
I would create a policy banning mercury in makeup products and to dismantle the black market of makeup.
What’s next?
After graduating, I’m planning on going to college majoring in engineering and minoring in musical theater.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself trying to find a job after graduate school or developing a position for myself in a company aimed towards advances in prosthetics.
Will you come back to visit Center Stage, or are you gone for good when you’re out the door?
If I have time, I will definitely come back to visit Center Stage both the friends I’m leaving behind and the teachers that have been with me for years.
