Princess Ballerina

Our PRINCESS BALLERINA program takes our youngest dancers (4-5 year olds) on a journey through the   beautiful world of ballet with the magical help of their favorite princess characters!  Students learn the basics of ballet  surrounded by the familiar music and props (wands, tutus, wings) of their favorite characters.  For the first semester, each month is presented by a different Princess and the final semester takes us into Glinda’s wonderful world of OZ.  This program is a perfect blend of the   discipline and structure of ballet basics with the fun, joy and wonder of make-believe.  This is an experience that will be treasured by each young performer.    

Your dancer will need these items for class:

  • Leotard: Dance dress of your choice

  • Hair: In a secure tight bun fastened with hair pins and hair net

  • Tights: Capezio Ballet Pink

  • Shoes: Capezio Pink Ballet Shoes

Intro To Dance

Our INTRO TO DANCE program is an exciting overview of the programs that are offered at our studio – Ages 3 to 4. Here, students begin to learn, through TAP, how sounds fit into music and to immediately tap into their musicality; through pre-BALLET, the grace of movement; through JAZZ basics how to isolate the different parts of their bodies. The program is quite varied, making it an exciting beginning of our young students’ dance education.

Your dancer will need these items for class:

  • Leotard: Dance dress or leotard of your choice

  • Tights: Capezio Ballet Pink or Capezio Caramel (acceptable but not required)

  • Shoes: Capezio Caramel Tap Shoes and Capezio Pink Ballet Shoes

Tap/Jazz Combo

Our TAP/JAZZ COMBO Program is for ages 5 and 6 yr olds and combines theatre dance elements – TAP & JAZZ training – to create our future Broadway dancers!  Center Stage students have graced the Broadway stage in over 15 Broadway shows (from “Cats” in the ’80′s to “In the Heights” and “Gypsy” a couple of years ago) and in countless national and international tours.  Start your young performer’s journey into the exciting world of the stage with this fun-filled program.

Your dancer will need these items for class:

  • Leotard: Dance dress or leotard of your choice

  • Tights: Capezio Ballet Pink or Capezio Caramel (acceptable but not required)

  • Shoes: Capezio Caramel Tap Shoes and Capezio Pink Ballet Shoes

Jazz/Hip-Hop

Our JAZZ/HIP-HOP programs for young children are for 5 and 6 year olds who love the newest dance music and want to SHAKE IT UP!  We combine Jazz technique and hip-hop fusion steps to create an exciting “bop til you drop” dance experience that will challenge and excite your young dancer!

Your dancer will need these items for class:

  • Top: Dance t-shirt/tank, leotard, or dance sports bra tops

  • Bottom: Dance pants, shorts, leggings, or sweatpants

  • Shoes: Capezio Caramel Jazz Boot

BE PREPARED:

Visit our dance-wear store, Dancin’ On The Moon, which is fully stocked with the required shoes and accessories needed for each class.

PERFORMANCES

Our young children’s dance performances are shows that contain material designed for our youngest students with themes such as Disney and Wizard of Oz. Our young actors perform delightful scenes in this event. and every member of your family is sure to be fully entertained. Our costumes are beautiful, appropriate and reasonably priced and each event contains impressive scenic backdrops and professional stage lighting. We keep our children’s show just like our youngest students… short and sweet!
