What companies/classes are you currently in?

I’m currently a Jazzcat :)

When did you start at Center Stage?

I started Center Stage when I was in third grade.

Do you remember your first dance routine?

My first dance routine was a jazz/hip hop number called “Technologic”.

What was your Center Stage journey?

I started taking Center Stage jazz classes in third grade, and eventually added on ballet and lyrical. At the end of eighth grade, I auditioned for Jazzcats and started the Jazzcat Apprentice Program. This year, I’m a Jazzcat 3!!

Why has it been worth all of the energy you’ve put into it and the sacrifices you’ve made?

Dancing at Center Stage has definitely been worth all of the time and energy I’ve put into it. I’ve gotten to be a part of so many amazing dances that I will never forget. I also love the family aspect of competing at Center Stage and have met so many people who have made the most meaningful impacts on my life. I’m so happy that I’ve had such a great experience doing what I love:)

What other outside of school activities do you do?

I work at Abercrombie.

There seems to be a special comradery in the JazzCATS company.  What’s it like to be inside that?

I love the Jazzcats company and always feel so lucky to be a part of it. I was welcomed with open arms when I first joined, and to this day, the company is like a second family. Everyone genuinely wants the best for one another, and we’re always joking around and having fun! We definitely know how to have a good time.

What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?

Cotton candy!!

What is the last TV show you binge-watched?

Dahmer

If you could have any animal for a pet, what would it be?

100 percent a teacup pig. I’ve always wanted one!!

What invention should exist but doesn’t…yet?

Definitely a way to teleport places.

Who is your favorite Disney character?

Stitch!!

What makes you proud about today’s teenagers?

I’m proud of how they put lots of effort into being more open minded and accepting of others, as this wasn’t always the case in past years.

What would you like to change about today’s teenagers?

I would like to change how superficial they can be at times.

If you could live in any decade, which one would it be?

Probably the 80s, growing up without phones seems like it would be much more fun.

What’s next?

I’ve applied to multiple universities and can’t wait to make my decision! I plan on going to nursing school and leaving the state.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I see myself living in New York and hopefully working as a nurse.

Will you come back to visit Center Stage, or are you gone for good when you’re out the door?

I will definitely be back to visit whenever I get the chance <3
